Hinamatsuri(Doll Festival) in Hitoyoshi, Kuma area

The Hina Matsuri, or Doll Festival, a traditional Japanese event is held on March 3 every year, families with girls display Hina Doll at home for praying the health and happiness of girls.

In Hitoyoshi Kuma region, more than 100 tourist facilities and shopping spots will be decorated with the various dolls. In addition, various events will be held. Some Japanese inns offer beautifully arranged special course meals called “Hina Kaiseki”.





At some tourist facilities, only women will get special services such as one free drink. Tourists can rent and wear Kimono, Japanese traditional attire, and enjoy strolling around the old town and taking pictures of beautiful and gorgious Hina Dolls.
